She was born Sept. 24, 1926, in Belfry, Ky., daughter of the late Andrew J. and Vada Chapman Manning. She was retired as a nurse after 27 years of service at WVU Hospital and Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was Baptist and a member of VFW Post 548 Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, Harry J. Deeley Jr.; a son, Larry G. Deeley, of Cedar Bluff, Va.; two daughters, Sandra Strickler, of Gladesville, and Susan Steele, of Norfolk, Va.; two brothers, Carol Manning, of Sterling Heights, Mich., and Delano Manning, of Austin, Texas; five sisters, Evelyn Gearheart, of Ridge Manor, Fla., Alois Tamkin, of Washington, Utah, Barbara Price, of Yuma, Ariz., Maxine White, of Hadden Heights, N.J., and Eleanor Murphy, of Hesperia, Mich.; two grandchildren and three grea t-grandchildren.
